What is ZANZIBAR (Tanzania)?!
HELLO!! Sorry you haven’t heard from me in a few days... I’ve been having WAY too much fun on this beautiful (and seriously underrated) island called ZANZIBAR in TANZANIA to kick off my 2 month, 14-country Africa trip. Did you know that the phrase “Hakuna Matata” (from the Lion King) actually means “No Worries” in Swahili?! Moreover, did you know that Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen, was born and raised here? There’s so much more uniqueness to this island that I can’t wait to share with you! I’ve spent the last 3 days in Zanzibar with a few of my best friends from home and a new local friend, Mandela. I cannot believe how perfect these white sand beaches are, combined with a very simple life, lots of fresh fruit (PINEAPPLES) and Rastafarian beach parties — I could easily spend a few months here. In this video, I aim to educate you about the diverse history of Zanzibar, show you some fun activities happening around the island, and tell you what to expect if you are planning to come here. Have you ever been to Zanzibar?
